DNPA-Aligned Code of Ethics

(Based on DNPA Guidelines | Full DNPA Charter)

1. Accuracy & Fairness

  • Verify facts from multiple credible sources before publishing.
  • Label opinion/analysis clearly.
  • Correct errors prominently (see our Correction Policy).

2. Impartiality

  • Avoid conflicts of interest (e.g., paid promotions disguised as news).
  • Disclose affiliations/sponsorships (e.g., “Sponsored by [X]”).

3. Accountability

  • Provide byline/contact info for authors.
  • Allow right to reply to subjects of critical stories.

4. No Harmful Content

  • No hate speech, misinformation, or graphic violence without public interest justification.

5. Transparency

  • Disclose ownership/funding (e.g., “NewsFoxy is independently owned”).
  • Explain algorithmic curation (if using AI).

6. Privacy

  • Protect sources/anonymous whistleblowers.
  • Comply with GDPR/Indian DPDP Act (see Privacy Policy).
